Philanthropy and Community Service

Alpha Gamma Rho at Penn State is not just a member of the Greek Community, but an involved member of the local community in which we live.  Gamma Chapter participates in various community service oppurtunities as well as supporting many philanthropic organizations.  Community involvment is an important part of Alpha Gamma Rho, and provides a way for our members to grow into more active and involved citizens by using our most sacred goals: Aggressive Effort, Resourcefulness, and Individual Endeavor.

Philanthropy plays an equally important part in the life of our house, and we support many charitable organizations and funds. Our most important philanthropic events revolve around Penn State's IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON) in which we are active participants. THON continues to be the largest student run philanthropies in the nation, and the largest run by a Greek Community.

Outside of THON, each year we host several of our own Philanthropy events at the Chapter House. Cancer.
